How to Care for Tailoring

  • General wear and transit of tailored clothing can cause creasing. This can often be removed with a low temperature iron, but steaming may be best to bring it back to life.
  • Machine wash cold or at 30 degrees (cool wash) on a delicate cycle. Use a mild detergent and add softener if you would like.
  • Wash with similar coloured items to help avoid any colour transfer.
  • Tumble dry at a low temperature, but air-dry is best. Hang on a clothes hanger while drying for best results.
  • Iron using a low temperature to remove creases and reshape features such as the collar and cuffs, for best results use a steamer.
  • Fibres can be weakened by chlorine bleach, only non-chlorine bleach should be used if needed.
  • Tailoring can be dry cleaned.
