How to Care for Denim

  • Denim does not need to be washed often. Wear multiple times if you can, and use a fabric refreshing spray if needed.
  • The natural dye in denim fades over time but the initial few washes can cause dye transfer, especially if the denim is dark. Avoid close contact with lighter colours or products.
  • Turn jeans inside out to wash.
  • Wash denim with similar coloured items to help avoid colour transfer.
  • Machine wash cold or at 30 degrees (cool wash) on a delicate cycle. Do not use fabric softener.
  • Iron using a warm temperature setting.
  • Denim can be weakened by chlorine bleach, only non-chlorine bleach should be used if needed.
